You Don’t Have to Keep Performing “Fine”

You may be the person everyone depends on—the capable one, the responsible one, the one who keeps going no matter what. From the outside, your life may look successful and well managed. Inside, you may feel anxious, emotionally exhausted, disconnected, or haunted by experiences you thought you had already moved past.

Perhaps you overthink every decision, struggle to relax, or stay constantly busy because slowing down allows uncomfortable thoughts and feelings to surface. You may understand your patterns intellectually but still find yourself repeating them.

Therapy can be the place where you finally stop holding everything together alone.

How I Can Help

I specialize in individual therapy for adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, OCD, depression, and related concerns. I also work extensively with first responders, military personnel, healthcare professionals, and others whose work requires them to remain composed in extraordinarily demanding circumstances.

My style is warm, direct, and collaborative. I will listen with compassion, but I will also help you identify the patterns keeping you stuck and understand what needs to change. Our work will combine practical strategies for managing overwhelming symptoms with deeper exploration and trauma treatment when you are ready.

The goal is not simply to help you function better while continuing to suffer. It is to help you feel more grounded, confident, connected, and present in your own life.

My Approach

Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. I draw from EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, person-centered therapy, and solution-focused approaches to create treatment that fits your needs and goals.

You will understand what we are working on, why it matters, and how it connects to the life you want. We will regularly evaluate what is helping and adjust our work when needed.

As a First Responder Treatment Provider, I understand the culture, pressures, and privacy concerns that can make seeking therapy especially difficult for first responders and their families. My office offers respectful, profession-informed care without judgment or unnecessary explanation.

About Me

I hold a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Doctorate of Education in Clinical Counseling Psychology. I am also completing my PsyD in Clinical Counseling Psychology.

My work is grounded in the belief that people are more than their symptoms, diagnoses, or most painful experiences. You do not need to arrive knowing exactly what is wrong or how to fix it. We will make sense of it together.

Working Together

During our first sessions, we will explore what brings you to therapy, identify the concerns affecting your life most, and develop a focused plan for moving forward. You will have room to be honest, imperfect, uncertain, angry, grieving, or simply tired.

You have probably spent a long time telling yourself that other people have it worse—or that you should be able to handle this alone. You do not have to keep carrying it that way.

I offer individual therapy in person in Marriottsville and Westminster, as well as telehealth throughout Maryland. Sessions are $150. As an out-of-network provider, I can provide documentation for clients seeking reimbursement through eligible insurance benefits. A limited number of reduced fee appointments may be available.

If you are looking for a therapist who offers compassion, honesty, and room to be fully human, I invite you to reach out.
